Hip, hip hooray! Another set of sublimation designs has arrived!

I just love birthdays. My twin boys turned 7 last week. While bittersweet, I always enjoy any excuse to celebrate them alongside friends and family. We hosted a birthday party for them at a local park this year. After more than two years of limited celebrations, it was so nice to see them running and playing with friends on the playground. It was the icing on the cake, for sure!

I designed this week’s birthday sublimation designs for anyone looking for a little extra birthday fun. These digital downloads are perfect for creating shirts for the birthday boy/girl, party favors, decorations, and so much more!

The Hip, Hip Hooray it’s My Birthday Today sublimation design makes an adorable t-shirt or bodysuit for the birthday boy/girl! Make it for your little one to wear for their party or even during a cake smash photoshoot.

Just be sure you use a shirt with a high polyester count (cotton won’t work) and place butcher paper or another protective sheet between the shirt to to make sure the design doesn’t bleed through to the back. Trust me, I’ve made that mistake! Polyester fibers are great for sublimation, but tricky in some ways.

Use the Birthday Squad sublimation design to create shirts for the rest of the family or friends to wear! How cute would a family photo be with the birthday kiddo and the rest of the family in matching shirts? It’d also make cute siblings shirts. You could even add names to the back of each for a bit of extra personalization! Did you know you can even sublimate on dark colored fabrics? I created a colorful maker pouch by using a sublimation transfer on Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl!

Not into shirts? You could use Cricut’s Print then Cut feature to make vinyl stickers of this design to place on party favor bags or balloons! Sublimation designs make great decals because they are png files with a transparent background. Perfect for printing on any printer!

The It’s Party Time design would make a great garden flag or sublimated banner. It’s a simple way to add a bit of flair to the party decor and let guests know they’re at the right house.

Do you enjoy planning birthday parties?

I definitely fall into that category of people who loves parties—especially for my twin boys! I’ve planned quite a few parties (and blogged about them) over the years. Their Robot-themed first birthday party is still one of my favorite parties ever!

We haven’t thrown a birthday party in a few years (thanks pandemic), but that doesn’t mean we haven’t celebrated. I mean, we have to have cake either way! Whether you’re the one baking the cake or simply enjoying it, these birthday cake SVGs are sure to add a special touch to any celebration—big or small!

The Here for the Cake SVG makes quite the statement! It’d make a great shirt for that person (we all know that one) who is simply just there for the cake! How cute would it be for a first birthday cake smash shoot? Add it to a baby bodysuit with iron-on vinyl or sublimation, and take all those adorable photos! Use the You Want a Piece of Me? SVG as a funny cake topper! You could use the Offset tool in Cricut Design Space to add a shadow/outline to the back of the image and then print it on cardstock. Use the print-then-cut feature to make it even easier to assemble a DIY cake topper!

Speaking of cake, the Cake Time cut file is perfect to use as cake or dessert table decor. Use it to create a simple framed print or get fancy with cardstock, and glue dot adhesives to make a 3D image that really pops!

How fun would the Life is Short Eat the Cake SVG be for a birthday card? Did you know the Cricut Joy is the perfect size for whipping up cards in a breeze? Any of the Cricut machines will do, though! Just use your favorite cardstock, and you’ve got your own personalized greeting card!

Are you a big party planner? I love a good birthday party—especially when it’s for my twin boys! I enjoy planning and prepping all of the party decor, food, and activities. I still adore the Robot-themed First Birthday Party we threw for them…five years ago now!

Sadly, we didn’t get to celebrate birthdays in a big way last year (or this year, really). However, as things begin to return to a bit more “normal”, more and more celebrations are beginning again. I’m here for it. I truly believe there’s always reason to celebrate!

When Ryan and I were talking about starting a family, we said something like, “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a baby in the fall? We have so many family birthdays in the spring, so it would be nice to try to spread that out a bit. But seriously. Anything but May would be fine.”

Then we had twins in May, so that just goes to show you how little you’re able to control things in life.

So basically we are in the thick of birthday season for our family. Almost our entire family, both sides, have birthdays between March 1 and June 10, a LOT of them falling in May. This includes not just our immediate family, but most of our siblings, parents, and nephews. It is a boatload of birthdays!
